What are you most excited about building out on your own portfolio website? And in your own domain?
I am incredibly excited to play around with the graphic capabilities of my portfolio this year. Presentation is so important and communicates a million different things that can’t always be explicitly stated. I am also looking forward to developing this portfolio and overall my own domain to become an archive of my time and work at Grinnell. Over the summer I worked in Burling Library’s special collections and archives, and I loved it. I felt so immersed in the history of Grinnell and I understood the importance and gravity of an archive on a much deeper level. I want to take what I’ve learned over the summer and apply the principles to my work this year.
What questions do you still have about WordPress, cPanel, or your domain?
I feel that I have less questions and more awareness about gaps in my knowledge that I want to fill. I want to feel more comfortable with the vocabulary of WordPress and feel more confidence navigating cPanel.
How do you think this experience could help inform your work helping your peers learn how to use digital tools?
I think the exploration we are allowed to do is going to help me really get to know the ins and outs of the digital tools that we work with.
